Prosper Global
Mercy Corps, which will rebrand as Prosper Global in September 2026, is an international humanitarian aid organization founded in 1979 that works on the front lines of conflict and climate change, pairing local knowledge with global resources to help communities cope in the midst of crisis, adapt to a changing world, and thrive into the future.

The organization has programs in 30+ countries all over the world and partners with governments, non-governmental organizations, foundations, civil society, communities, and private businesses to foster food security, economic development, peace and good governance, climate adaptation, and environmental sustainability as well as to respond to emergencies.
As part of this comprehensive branding effort, we partnered with Brand Federation to develop a new name, strategy, and narrative that better reflected the organization’s mission, values, and goals. There was a wide recognition that “Mercy Corps” had militaristic overtones that were not helpful, and the idea of “mercy” did not do justice to the partnerships built with communities around the world.
The new name, Prosper Global, suggests the outcomes the organization strives for: communities growing strong and healthy—thriving.
The new Prosper Global symbol we designed is a fundamental icon—at once a directional arrow and a heart—suggesting coming together, moving forward, and caring. These ideas resonate deeply with the organization’s values of partnership, community, resilience, and inclusivity. Bold in silhouette, this symbol is carefully balanced between curves and angles to give it approachability and distinction.

The bright turquoise color was chosen for consistent use on both light and dark backgrounds, and also because turquoise is a color found in nature all over the world, which has often been associated with protection, healing, and hopefulness. A complementary secondary palette of bright hues was developed to balance the turquoise.
